Backcountry Snowsports Initiative

BSI's mission is to protect sustainable recreation opportunities for backcountry skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers and winter hikers. We build community awareness around human-powered recreation and promote conservation of the wild lands that sustain them.
As a program of the Colorado Mountain Club, we are working statewide on a number of projects including: implementation of the Forest Service Over-Snow Vehicle rule; Recreation Mapping; and more.
