Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Overview
From the (RIP) Glory hut, drop skiers' right of the boot ridge, and don't wander too far to the right, lest you end up on Second Turn, or down in Coal Creek.
Need to Know
Be considerate walking back up the road to the parking lot, especially during the morning commute.
Description
Skiing at the top can tend to be windswept a good bit of the time. Navigate your way down through a few rock/tree bands, trending skiers' left. Either stick to the trees, or burn through the open bits. Shoot for the power line on the slight rise, which will put you one last drop above the Pass road. Now go to work, or hike up and do it again!
History & Background
It's the first turn down from the Glory parking lot, hence the name "First Turn."
