Need to Know

Although the snowfield pitch isn't extremely steep, an uncontrolled fall could send a skier over the lip at Tuckerman's Ravine and result in severe injury or death. Weather is extreme at this location and changes rapidly. Be prepared.

Description

A beautiful snowfield descent that picks its way from the summit of Mount Washington to the ridge at Tuckerman Ravine. The skiing doesn't end there. A number of lines through Tuckerman can then be skied to the ravine floor.
