Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Description
Start at the trailhead, skin up the road for several hundred feet where the trail breaks uphill to the left. Follow the well-developed skin track to the ridge which leads to the big false summit, then it's on to the top. After the false summit, the track gets steeper and can be icy so be careful. If you're slipping backwards, you may have to boot pack it. The summit offers several great ski lines including the easy bowls to the NE.
The angle of the East Ridge and NE bowls is very mild staying at or below 30 degrees; all other routes enter avalanche terrain.
Be careful of weather and wind, they can be severe and because the winds can get so strong, be prepared for mixed snow conditions at the top.
