Overview

This expansive north-facing bowl has numerous moderate options at and below tree line. Softer snow usually awaits in the trees.

Description

Follow the Jones Pass: Jones Pass Road South Ascent up Jones Pass Road to the top of the bowl. It is a straightforward ascent, especially after the snowmobiles and the snow cats have established the path.

The descent is almost as straightforward as the ascent. The bowl is wide open and is mostly lower-angle, moderate runs. Choose your line and start the descent. Be sure to meet up with your partner prior to entering the woods.

Pretty much any line you take will funnel you back to the skin track or snow cat track and out to the parking area, so it is really easy to get in and out of here.

Snow by the creek isn't filled in enough for the descent- ended up going 50 yards to skiers left to hit the old road instead of taking this route out
