Parking is a touchy subject and you may be subject to parking tickets or towing in the name of snow removal. You can park on Hwy 89, which adds 600' of climbing, but might prevent a ticket.

Description

Climb to Rubicon Peak's rocky summit and enjoy being on the northernmost point on the West Shore Ridgeline. This peak doesn't offer the same steep terrain that the surrounding peaks do, but the terrain provides plenty of fun. The skin up to the summit largely follows the summer trail, and the gladed slopes make for beautiful climbing.

Once you've enjoyed the views from the summit, head to the north and east for a scenic and consistent ski back to the lake.
