Description

Drive toward Guanella Pass from Georgetown and when a tight switchback swings left, turn right onto the narrow dirt road to the Waldorf Mine (this will be easier in a 4x4). The sign once said "Waldorf," but new construction may have changed that. Follow F.S. 248.1.

Continue up to the mine, or until the road is blocked by snow, usually there are drifts over the road a couple miles below the mine until June.

From the mine, head up the obvious basin in front of you to the summit of Mt. Edwards.
