Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Description
The ski tour starts from the Lchashen village in winter months, and skiers will want to begin on the
Mets Lchasar Ascent line. The rise to Mets Lchasar begins in full view of Lake Sevan. In the winter, there are fabulous views of the Geghama Mountains and Aragats from this area. After taking some time to appreciate the views, skiers will have a thrilling descent to look forward to. There are some steep portions in the beginning, but things shortly mellow out for a gentle descent to the end destination.
The back way is marked on M4 Yerevan-Sevan highway wand passes by Gagarin village. It would be smart to arrange a shuttle to take you back to the village of Lachashen from the end of this ski descent. The mountains in Armenia are not high enough to prevent climbing and skiing from being a real pleasure in winter.
