Wildy Bowl Main Path

Class 3 avalanche terrain—know before you go.

This is the large runout below treeline that Wildy Bowl slides into; the chute is open with dispersed small trees that have survived avalanches over the years. From the K9 Couloir or the Easter Couloir, this line to extends the continuous vertical.

From the south side of Wildy Bowl, cross the flat basin and head eastwards where it opens up. There are a lot of terrain features, rollovers and small drops leading to a larger cliff and icefall at the bottom—this is the waterfall known as Blake Fork Falls. Watch for the drop, and head skier's right past the exit from Teddy's Chute and stay right for a clean route around the cliffs onto a flat wetland where the chute ends.

From here, there are various routes out, each requiring a moderate hike or ski traverse to cross the flat, forested terrain.

After a moderate El Nino brought heavy snows during the 2009-10 season, this path ran during March. An R4D4 slide cleared out older trees in the path and left debris deposits up to 25 feet deep at the bottom.
