Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Need to Know
These are remote lines, and you need to be very self sufficient; accidents will be hard to recover from and support will be limited. If in doubt, don't ski these lines. Review the CAIC website before venturing out in this remote ski area.
Description
We followed the Fingers approach, but cut off early as soon as we could see the Mine 1 descent to our right. We followed the far right edge of the trees, and also the way into the drainage between CO Mines Peak and Mount Flora. These lines are NOT skied often and hold a tremendous amount of snow, so be careful!
When you hit the drainage, you have a few options:
1. Head right down the drainage, and back left toward Hwy 40
2. Skin back up the drainage and ski the Vortex
3. Skin up and left across the trees on the SW side of Flora toward
6.3 Ski Run
