Description

This mellow line follows gradually rolling terrain through the forest, crossing some open meadows and contouring across ancient stream channels. There's some short downhill sections and much of the route is flat as it follows the drainage from the upper basin in Long Canyon back to the trail about a mile down. This is the best route to reduce exposure to avalanche terrain on either side of the canyon.
