Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Need to Know
This area is close to the road, but it is not skied often, please follow the standard protocol:
- Beacon, shovel, probe
- Depending on the day, it could be awesome powder, or breakable snow in the spring
- Please use good judgement and don't ski these lines if you are not self sufficient with the proper skills needed!
Description
We parked at the normal lot for First Creek. We followed the edge of the road, heading south toward the north-facing lines. When we hit the trees, we stayed east of the parking lot glades, skinning through the trees. Using the path of least resistance, this is still a HARD skin that is extra steep so not many people ski this location.
When we finally hit the ridge, we headed west. Now it is up to you what ski run you are planning to ski.
The first run heading north is the
Parking Lot Glades. The second run north is the
First Shot.
