Description
The slope directly within Camp Hale offers multiple "make your own adventure" opportunities for a short day out skiing. You can go as high as you want, incorporating the grove of aspens at the top of the runs if you choose.
If your party is the first out there after a decent snow, the slope provides enjoyable pow shots with the right conditions.
History & Background
Camp Hale was used to train the famous 10th Mountain Division during World War II until their unit was moved to Fort Drum, NY. You could be skiing something that Jack Durance tele'd on!
