Need to Know

Parking is usually possible at either Miller Creek or Lower Miller Creek. While the wooded area is fairly open, some dense thickets are present. Be mindful of steeper terrain dropping into Lower Miller Creek.

Description

Follow either Miller Creek or Lower Miller Creek to the base of the ridge between the Fels and Canwell Glacier. From there, climb through the lightly wooded bowl, sticking to the southern edge. At the top of the low bowl, you'll find yourself in a small drainage with a large glacial erratic in the middle. From here, you have a good view of the slopes above. Navigate upslope around the light stands of willow and birch and head toward the ridgeline.
