Private land owned by Lone Mountain Land Company (Spanish Peaks Club owner), but generally no problems with public use as long as you are staying out of construction zones, and respecting the nordic trail that it drops you onto. Mountain to Meadow MTB trail passes through here in the summer.

Overview

Pretty mild low angle start that is a new lift line? Or cut run for Spanish Peaks to expand terrain?, but once you drop over the breakover towards the 'poop chute' steep double fall line open run that was cleared summer 2024 for sewer line install.

Need to Know

Park at the 'Poop Chute' parking lot use MTM lower section to head up to the top.

Description

I've been looking at the N face of what I've started calling the Middle Fork Canyon for a number of years (known locally as the 'Poop Chute' because sewer lines from Big Sky Resort follow this old forest road/public trail), but just started exploring winter before last and first route that's pretty obvious and worth naming. Not big on vert but good mostly N facing Doug Fir forest that's good for yo-yoing in the neighborhood.
