Tuckerman Ravine
Overview
Possibly the most well-known backcountry skiing area in the Northeast, Tuckerman is located on the southeast face of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast.
Tuckerman is known for its relatively easy access and challenging 40 to 55 degree pitches. These attributes make it incredibly busy during its prime season, from April through July most seasons.
