Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Description
Though there is a lot of sun exposure, if it's recently snowed, this can be a terrific easy outing from Uncle Bud's hut. It starts from the very cool, small point that is a shoulder of Galena Mountain, and you can really pick one of many lines, and this is good place to do several laps.
Due to the moderate slope angle and lack of trees, this is one of the easier lines. Move west for more of a challenge. Ski down your chosen line until you hit the Colorado Trail. Head left (east) on the road to find your skin track for a another lap or a quick return to the hut.
