Sheep Creek Basin

Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

From the visitor center in town find the Miller Road and follow the snowmobile trail up, eventually leaving the groomed road and heading west towards Sheep Basin. Once you enter the basin drop down towards the creek to avoid traversing the avalanche-prone south facing slopes of Miller. Follow the low ridge in the middle of the basin until you are forced to drop down to the creek. At this point you can skin up the north facing burn for mellow turns or head further up the basin for steeper lines.

This area is open to snowmobiles and there may be tracks or and/or sleds on any given slope.
