Description

You can ski in almost all directions off the Jackal Hut, but this is a particularly good line that connects many wide-open slopes with sparse trees. Other sections are also good but tend to run into dense forest before you get a very long run.

For the longest continual line, traverse west from the hut without dropping elevation until you get to a nice big (100') clearing in the trees. Drop straight down the fall line, perhaps trending a little right, into the trees below. Wiggle around, basically taking the fall line, and you should be able to connect many open slots in the trees. Stop whenever you want, but you'll probably be forced to by the time you hit the bottom of a small drainage.
