Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Description
An approachable, attainable, yet confidence inspiring alpine peak in the Teton Range.
Albright Peak provides the skiier or splitboarderder with a very elegant line containing nearly 3,000 feet of skiing.
Park along the Moose-Wilson Road and begin the skin up the summer road to the Whitegrass Ranch Ranger Station. The peak is forefront of your attention and provides an imposing task. Sidehill across the lower angle base, then get to work putting in a few dozen switchbacks. Gain the shoulder between the Albright Summit and Twenty-Five Short. At this shoulder, follow the ridgeline to the summit proper. From here the ascendant is treated to spectacular views of the Teton Range and off into the adjacent ranges.
