Spearhead Glacier Approach

Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

From the top of Showcase T-Bar on Blackcomb Mountain, bootpack up a small bit to the Blackcomb Glacier Run. Traverse hard skier's right to the Blackcomb backcountry gates. From here, contour around to the Spearhead-Blackcomb col.

Once at the col, rip the skins and traverse Spearhead Peak below some cliffs. An opening on a steep slope allows a short bootpack through the 'Guide's Notch' and into Spearhead Glacier.

Open crevasses exist on Spearhead Glacier, but are generally very obvious.
