Wachusetts SE woods

Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Approach on Pine Hill trail (trailhead at visitor center off Mountain Rd.). The trail ends in a picnic area slightly below the summit. Start below this picnic area, and find your way though dense woods down to service road. Cross the road and ski steeper terrain all the way to Mountain Rd.

This is a long line among the trees, but unfortunately there are several dense places. The terrain is interesting with some small rock drops.

It was skied in 2015, when snow was deep and cold.
