Overview

The Northwest Bowl begins where the North Ridge from the summit bends to the northeast.

Need to Know

Be careful in the forest as the snow here may not freeze as well as the snow above tree line. Additionally, the western slope is steep and as the bowl funnels into a small stream, it may cause a terrain trap if you are low.

Description

The Northwest Bowl can be reached by skiing from the summit. It is best to avoid the cornice buildup on the right, but drop prior to the windswept face on the left.

As is the case with other lines on this side of the mountain, your primary exit will be through the glades below and out to I-70.
