Overview

Eldorado offers a variety of lines off the top ranging from intermediate to more technically advanced. Scout your line from the basin at 7,500 ft before making the summit push.

Description

Ski the ridgeline down for some casual turns or cut off early and tag the line into the basin. Just make sure it goes through!

Cross the flats and ski the Eldorado Glacier; nearly 2,000 ft of playful fall line skiing before you have to climb back up over the ridge and ski the Eldorado drainage out.

History & Background

Probable first winter ascent by Donald Goodman and party March 14, 1981.
