Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Need to Know
This run needs a 50"+ base due to numerous downed logs and rocks. The steeper slopes and portions of the gully bottom may be susceptible to avalanches, so be safe and aware. The bottom section of the gully, as you approach the access road, is relatively flat, and may require push/pole at the bottom if the snow is deep and/or slow.
Description
Enter from the backcountry access gate off of Barriers Run from Red Lodge Mountain Resort. Ski east down the slope and end up on a steep ridge on the south side of the main gully. There are some steep slopes that drop into the gully, then you can either ski the gully bottom or traverse to mellower slopes on the skier's left side of the main gully.
