Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Need to Know
Creeks and cliffs. Dangerous. Mountains take lives.
Description
From Mansfield Chin, traverse around the Adams Apple and down the Hells Brook Trail. The first portion of the descent is somewhat mellow, probably "blue" terrain. From there, the trail drops off and gets very steep. While this is accessed from the resort, the terrain is very dangerous with huge cliffs. Deaths have occurred, so use caution. Drowning is also possible in spring melts as streams open and cascade across the landscape.
Respect the mountain. Don't cut trees, mess with wildlife, or leave garbage or I will find you and eat your young like an angry male polar bear awakening from a deep hibernation. Thank you.
History & Background
