Snow Park Pass and Groom Trails permit required during winter.

Need to Know

A Snow Park Pass and Groomed Trails permit is required. From the false summit and true summit many runs exist.

Description

Mt. Margaret has a classic west-facing old growth forest that is excellent for storm days and preserved powder stashes. This approach leaves the groomed trail directly after the Rocky Run bridge and angles east/northeast towards the summit, crossing a few logging roads en route. There is sled travel in the area, but this route generally avoids them.
