Need to Know

This line usually melts out quickly in the late spring. A creek crossing may be difficult after the snow melts at the bottom of the run to get back to the Herman Lake Trail.

Description

I call this line Jax' Run because this is one of the last backcountry runs that my wife was able to ski. It is a fun run in a random depression between Citadel and Bethel Mountain.

Park off I-70 at the Herman Lake/Herman Gulch Trailhead.

Approach via Herman Lake Trail and then continue up the valley when the trail turns right (north) up the hill. This ski line is on the ridge to your left. Climb to the top of the ridge and have some fun skiing down.
