Description

This ascent line provides access to a fun ski off a smaller summit of Mt. Ellis. There are various return routes from the summit, the most straightforward being skiing back down the approach. Typically, people ski the SE-facing meadow a couple times before regaining the skin track.

Very crusty ski up from trailhead. Stayed on road until hairpin at 2.75 miles, then cut west to ridgeline track. Ski down was a lot of wind-crust. 3.4mi — 2h 00m
