Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Sections of this area are prohibited to snowmobiles due to wilderness designation.
Description
From the parking lot at the edge of the meadow, follow a gentle ascent clockwise around Tamarack Peak. You should encounter a gully to your left. This gully softens and completely flattens below an east-facing aspect of the Relay Peak Ridgeline. Cross here, and find yourself below the north-facing facet of the same ridge. You'll find a snowmobile road up this bed, and navigating up to the saddle will be easy. At that point, you have a variety of lines to choose from, varying widely both in difficulty and aspect. Take note that the quickest route back to the car is southeast facing, so consider that when assessing the avy danger.
