Need to Know

This line requires a long approach!

Description

The top of this run starts on the rock slide itself. Consider lapping the upper section and enjoying the wide open turns and great views of White Cap and the Pleasant River Valley. For the lower section, you can choose to either follow the slide drainage which gets quite narrow, or dip into the woods to enjoy the old growth glades. The glades get tight in places but they are easy to navigate back down to the trail.

History & Background

Baker Mountain was purchased by the Appalachian Mountain Club in 2015. There are a number of cross country ski trails in the valley that connect the AMC's Maine Wilderness Lodges.
