Need to Know

The bar and restaurant in Lakeshore is open when the road is open. Stop in for great food and drinks and to warm up by the fireplace.

Description

This is a great one day tour up fairly technical terrain. Start at the Kaiser Loop trailhead. With deep snow, the roads will be closed after the sno-park at Lakeshore. Head straight up the south face directly to College Rock. The summer trail with switchbacks can be difficult to find in deep snow as it's not well marked. Heading up to College Rock is the steepest section.

After College Rock continue on the ridge line on some fairly level ground until you reach above the tree line. Once above the tree line, Kaiser Peak is clearly visible. Descend south back to Lakeshore. A short skin is required to get back below the tree line.
