Stupid Chute

Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Fun, wide chute in Brighton's back bowls, easily accessible from the Milly Chairlift.

Ride Brighton's Milly Chairlift, then head straight south out of the Brighton Backcountry gate towards Wolverine Cirque where Stupid Chute is the largest chute on the left located where the ridgeline starts to climb up to Mt. Wolverine.

If you want more vert, then boot hike the ridge line to the top of Mount Millicent and ski down the ridge line to Stupid Chute. From the top, you can continue to Wolverine Bowl, any of the chutes in Wolverine Cirque or continue to traverse into Alta's Catherines area.

After you ski the chute, head left to ski Thousand Turns Gully or Figure 8 Hill and return to Brighton by staying skier's right of the Twin Lakes Reservoir.
