Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Park by Obsidian Dome Rd. In Winter your parking will be close to the road.
Description
You'll start on a cross country tracks, keeping going straight until the trails splits into a Y. Take the right one. You'll be on this cross country track from parking lot to turn off for roughly a 1 to 1.5 miles.
It's easy to get lost once in the woods (off the x-country trails), so trust your compass and map. Ideally, some local would have already set some skin tracks for you.
The descent can come down many aspects of the face, mostly east, but some do come down the same ascent line, so don't get tricked into following a descent line as an ascent line.
Once you are down, you'll end up at one of the x-country trails. If you are on a split board, you'll most likely have to walk a bit until you hit a down hill part of the x-country trails. If you are on skis, you could cut through the flat part and just ride straight down, or take pity and stay on the x-country trails with your splitboarding friends.
