Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Overview
The bowl north-east of the Kenny Creek cabin having a south-west aspect provides a vast area of skiable terrain, and all at a fairly moderate angle. The only problem is that it's a solar aspect, so catching it in good condition isn't easy.
Description
You can begin this run in the evergreens (skier's right), or skip them altogether in the wide open shot (skier's left.) Either way, you end up in open fields fenced in by lesser species of vegetation poking through the snow. At no point, however, are you ever walled in completely, if you weave your way through the maze correctly. There are almost always little necks of connection between these open fields. The run ends when you reach Kenny Creek, at which point, you can skin up for another go, or head back to the cabin.
History & Background
I've heard that many years ago there was a functional cabin in this area, but now only its remnants remain. Someone burned it to the ground.
