Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Overview
This is the standard hut lap just out the front door of the Tundra Hut. It has a moderate slope angle but be mindful of some of the tricky features in the gulley. There are a bunch of ways to ski this so keep exploring to find more terrain. The trees are pretty spaced out because many were logged in the early 1900s when the railroad was put in from Silver Plume to Waldorf.
Description
Head out from the hut and put in a skin track going uphill. Stop at the second road above the hut (the first is very close), or keep heading uphill if the terrain looks fun. Rip the skins and enjoy.
