Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Overview
This is the first face you see when approaching Uneva Peak from Vail Pass (not the inset bowl to looker's right, which is
South Uneva Bowl). The trees on the way out are almost more fun.
Need to Know
This is a popular area, so be wary of skiing above other groups.
Description
Follow the skintrack until it opens up into a meadow. From here, you can see the line: a small face obscuring the summit of Uneva Peak. Start in its general direction through the trees (or follow the likely already-made skintrack) before reaching the bottom of the bowl.
The looker's left side holds more snow, though it might be more crusty than the looker's right side. Switchback to the top and choose your line of descent. Pick your way through the trees back to the approach trail.
