Sometimes weather issues cause Wolf Creek Pass to close, so access to the parking lot from east or west may be affected.
Description
Start from the parking lot (on the north side of US 160) and head straight up through the trees that you'll see on the left side of the parking lot. Stay on the trail with a gully to your left until you hit Forest Road 402 (you'll see road markers in the snow). You can take a slight right up through the trees from the road basically any time in the next 100 yards (look for existing tracks).
