Overview

This fun descent from 13er Golden Bear can be done as an add-on to objectives in Dry Gulch, as it is north facing and warms later in the day.

Description

Take the Dry Gulch Approach to where the skintrack will split into Hagar, Golden Bear, or Citadel lines. There will likely be a skintrack to the top of Golden Bear.

Once on the summit, ski slightly northwest to an obvious saddle and the beginning of this mellow bowl. Make easy turns back down to the skintrack and head out or head elsewhere for more skiing. This one is pretty obvious.

This NE-facing line averages over 30 degrees. While it's one of the more casual descents in this basin, this face can and will still slide - be aware.
