Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Description
Hatis is located 2528m above sea level. It is cone-shaped, and the slopes are filled with sharp ravines. Under the volcanic cover of the southern foot flows a group of springs called Qarasunakn, which means 40 springs. There is an underground hideaway on the top of Mountain Hatis; the mountaineers call it a cave of Hatis. The snow on the mountain is very soft and pleasant for skiing, and this climb, which leaves from the south side of Hatis village, is one of the shorter approaches in the region, making it a bit more accessible on a shorter day outing.
