Overview

The Emerald Chute is a slightly steeper descent option that is easy to access from the Jake's Peak approach.

Description

Ascend as for Jake's Peak and travel South along the ridge until you are peering into the obvious large chute. In low-snow conditions, there may be a small choke at the bottom, but otherwise, there are no obstacles and the line is consistently around 35-40 degrees, with the steepest section near the top. The views are incredible and it's a very fun line.
