Ski up from the Mid Mountain trailhead
Take Transit to Trails directly to Empire Pass
Overview
From Empire Pass, ascend to the Summit County ridgeline. Continue over two small knolls to the un-marked Sawtooth summit. Ski down either side of the small valley in this low angle terrain.
Description
From Empire Pass gain the Summit County ridgeline, continue over two small knolls to the Sawtooth Summit. The nature of the run gives you access to both East and West facing terrain.
History & Background
The second knoll along the ridgeline is the location of the historic Sawtooth Benchmark, laid in 1903 during the Cottonwood and Park City Special Quadrangles survey by the U.S. Geological Survey.
